Today I went to the Limited Brands HQ for a meeting. Their HQ is huge and black and mirrored and has TWO campuses. It is bigger than IBM, I think….maybe… I was commenting to one of the B&BW execs I met with how awesome their campus was to which she replied that some are MUCH cooler. Exhibit A: Longaberger HQ pictured here. Apparently Longaberger employees create, sell—and work in—-baskets (!) Interestingly enough, also in Ohio.

According to a new report, Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell have signed on to do a Judd Apatow backed Sherlock Holmes movie.

Cohen will play the role of Sherlock and Ferrell will grace the screen as Watson!!!

Yes, this is apparently TRUE. Yay!

Netflix Value Proposition

I am interested to know what people’s average cost per movie “rental” is? For example, since January 1, 2008, I have watched 41 movies via Netflix and I have the $13.99 per 2-movies-at-a-time plan. So I’ve paid about $2.10 per movie including tax. I wonder what $$ per movie most people come in around? Any takers?

According to the Hollywood Reporter, he’ll play a a struggling thirtysomething writer with a drinking problem in Brooklyn who, following a painful breakup with his girlfriend, decides to emulate his heroes from the novels of Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett. He takes out an ad pretending to be a private detective and starts taking cases — solving some and making others worse.
