I've just begun a new decade. Sigh.
I have always wanted to be "a writer" but I'm lost somewhere in the prologue...whittling away at a story I may never tell.

Somehow I found myself having not the best of evenings, some professional frustrations just caught up with me, feeling a bit homesick, and the rest is too personal to blog about. Sigh.
What’s an easy way to cure that? A dessert and a fabulous drink. And with Derby on the mind, as well as the south…without further ado…
CLASSIC MINT JULEP
- 4 sprigs fresh mint
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 teaspoon super duper fine sugar
- 2 ounces bourbon
INSTRUCTIONS
- Muddle 3 mint sprigs, the water, and the sugar in a highball or collins glass or a silver julep cup.
- Fill the glass with crushed ice, and pour in the bourbon.
- Garnish with the remaining mint sprig.
Side note: Can we have a Derby party - anyone??
