adventures of mascarah.

I've just begun a new decade. Sigh.

I have always wanted to be "a writer" but I'm lost somewhere in the prologue...whittling away at a story I may never tell.

Likes: pop culture. my chihuahua. architecture. modern art. elizabeth street. contemporary designer apparel. food. travel. foreign films. speakeasys. live music. politics. hot sauce. surprises. running in the rain. strangers. wednesdays. fearlessness...and 100s of other random things... maybe even you.

A southerner by birth, northerner by the grace of God, I'm simply a nyc gal who is lost somewhere on my constant exploration of the city and the life, love, and pursuit found within it.

[Pursuit: 6 Cents] My Bag Cares
I’m a huge fan of tote bags for the obvious grocery/eco reasons but also because in this city, you have to lug around a lot of shit.
Going home inbetween work/gym/yoga/drinks/dinner is often a hinderance to a smooth day of navigation and I find that I get frustrated if I don’t have everything with me until I’m ready to head home and call it a day.
Enter My Bag Cares.
I’ve had tons of totes from Marc Jacobs (quite a steal at his Bleecker St store), FEED, various Etsy vendors, Banana/Gap, and countless other places.
But none I love more than this My Bag Cares.
I bought one after seeing Mary’s and I feel in love. It is soft and easy to cram into my purse. The fabric is soft yet still sturdy and holds all my gym gear or an entire picnic setup with easy. It is roomy and large while being managable.
And of course on top of that awesome benefit analysis I just did for you - it supports a great cause and is only $25.
Let’s face it - at this point you look like an asshole if you go into Whole Foods and use paper bags. Grab one of these puppies, I guarantee a single bag can hold at least 2 paper bags full of food.
