I've just begun a new decade. Sigh.

I have always wanted to be "a writer" but I'm lost somewhere in the prologue...whittling away at a story I may never tell.

A southerner by birth, northerner by the grace of God, I'm simply a nyc gal who is lost somewhere on my constant exploration of the city and the life,love, and pursuit found within it.

Quick & Healthy Snack: Lemony Mushrooms
Ingredients:
 1 pound of white mushrooms
 5 tablespoons of olive oil
 2-3 cloves of garlic
 juice of half of lemon
 sea salt and pepper
 4 tablespoons of parsley
 lemon wedges
 crusty bread (to serve with)
Preparation: Wash the mushrooms, trim bottoms down and then cut into fourths. Heat olive oil in large pan, add garlic and let sit for a minute… then add mushrooms. Saute over a medium high heat until brown. Reduce to low heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add a squeeze of lemon juice, season w/ sea salt and pepper (to taste).Top with parsley saute for another minute.
Serve with a fresh, thick, crusty bread.
A delicious and quick meal/side dish/snack. Also tastes good inside of a pita with fresh hummus. Random, I know…but delicious.
