Last night, I got to visit Barbie’s Dream Closet and try on some of her clothes. It was the most fun I’ve had in ages.
From now until 2/14, my delicious client BULLDOG GIN is giving away 1 dozen BULLDOG-infused macarons and 1 dozen BULLDOG-infused cupcakes PER DAY on Twitter and Facebook, respectively
Both are really easy to enter to win and totally delicious. I highly recommend you Facebook and Tweet with them and enter. Your significant other will love you even more.
So wish I could afford one of these Peter Pracilio swarovski-covered taxidermy pieces. Beyond fab. He’s great.
French Toast Macaron (Smokey bacon custard, with maple-glazed bacon, maple jelly and air) OMFG. (via)
Obsessed with this artist and their juxtaposition of fun images in acrylic on archival French literature.
Pistachio Cupcakes via Magnolia.
Delicious.
Since I first started blogging on Tumblr sometime in December 2007 (man I used to reblog a lot back then), I wasn’t sure what was going to happen and have been amazed by what has.
I’ve met so many great people, read so many fantastic original thoughts and fallen in love with so many images. It’s been rewarding and fulfilling in my ways.
Sometime in the past year, I’ve found myself abandoning the Tumblr community…I don’t the passion to share what I used to in the ways I used to share it and I don’t have the time to engage well in what all of you share, although I wish that I did.
In thinking about change in the new year (don’t we all do that? cliche but so dang true) I thought about how I could become a better, more viable member of this community once again…and I thought…and I thought.
Then, mid-way through a bag of pretzels on my parents couch preparing to Yelp about The Admiral (freaking amazing) in Asheville, NC it was like a long overdue light bulb went off in my mind…food. I must shift the focus of this to food.
That’s as far as I’ve made it.
I’m leaning towards 2-3x original reviews with context per week. Lame? Overdone? Not compelling? Would love to know what YOU think.
But I’m thinking that’s where this train might be headed…
Christmas at The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, 2011.
My hometown always finds a way to take my breath away.
Eric Ripert’s baked cod with black truffle with artichoke barigoule in truffle butter. OMFG. (via his Facebook)
Watch along. A client project. And he sounds pretty dang good. Beautiful voice.
